BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE SIMPLICITA!

“And Jacob loved Rachel and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter… And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had for her… Then Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.” – Genesis 29:18-21

Jacob lived in the same household with the woman he deeply loved for seven years, yet he did not touch her until he had fulfilled what was required of him.

Today, it almost sounds strange when someone advises a single lady or man to abstain from sex until marriage.
We must ask ourselves: do we truly know better than the Creator who made us?
There is a common argument that engaging in sex before marriage helps determine compatibility or proves genuine love. Yet, even after people satisfy this curiosity and believe they are “compatible,” many still go their separate ways.

We are not wiser than God. He is the giver of life and the One who knows what is best for His children. Scripture does not endorse sex before marriage, nor should it be justified under the guise of self-discovery or self-control.

Jacob was a man subject to like passion (with natural desires), yet he exercised restraint while living under the same roof as the woman he loved. He waited until the proper time.
If there are concerns or doubts, seek wise counsel or even medical guidance where necessary — but do not use physical intimacy as a test to satisfy fleshly desires.

Let us follow the Bible and allow God to direct our steps.
We receive grace in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Be blessed.🙏🏽
