STAY AWAKE

One of the unfortunate things to happen to anyone is to be found asleep or absent when your breakthrough/miracle/harvest is due.
When an opportunity you have been longing or waiting for appears at a time when you are sleeping or unaccessible.
Remember, Herod was unable to kill Peter because the church decided to stay awake and pray or react to the situation unlike in the case of James.

\’Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.\’ – Acts 12:5,11

Sampson on the other hand lost his authority, his anointing, his uniqueness as a result of sleep.

\’ And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.\’ Judges 16:19

Beloved, do not let sleep rob you off your anointing, your precious gifts or your properties. In as much as sleep is important and healthy to the body, it is also necessary not to abuse it or have too much of it. Moderacy is always almost perfect in most situations.Too much sleep or unhealthy sleep only leads to poverty or even death. Proverbs 21:25 says \’The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour\’.

One who refuses to stay awake is likened to an unwise person and the Bible admonishes such a person to go to the ant, consider her ways or learn from her ways to become wise. Proverbs 6:6.

Dear friend, stay awake so you can inherit the promises or grab those great opportunities.

\’That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.\’ – Hebrews 6:12.
