THE POWER OF SEEING

Seeing brings insight, it takes one to the realm of knowing, understanding and believing.
The servant of Elisha in 2 Kings 6:15- 17 did not know how powerful and equipped Elisha was until Elisha prayed for God to open his eyes.
Verse 17 says, \”And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.\”

Blindness can put you in total fear and hinder you from progressing in life or achieving your purpose.
The further you see, the greater your accomplishments or the urge to pursue more before you settle. God told Abraham in Genesis 13:14-15 that, as far as you can see so will I God commit into your hands.

\’And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.\”

This can mean that you are permitted only to handle that which you can see. And so your ability to see farther is what will arm you (and your descendants) with greater accomplishments.
On the other hand, lack of foresight can retard progress or make you visionless.
Vision is seeing beyond your now into your future possibilities.
You cannot have a sure vision if you lack the ability to see.

Begin to exercise the power of seeing from now. Close your eyes from the temporal circumstances you are presently involved in that make things seem unachievable. See beyond your now; for as far as you can see, with diligence, so will God commit into your hands.

It is my prayer that we will be spurred on to see farther and be strengthened to handle that which God will put in our hands in Jesus\’ name, Amen.
